Coleen grew up understanding what ministry is. The third daughter of two Assemblies of God ministers, Coleen met her husband, Larry at North Central University. Most of her studies were in music and she graduated from McKendree in Lebanon, IL. She and Larry served as pastors in Joliet, IL for 19 years before Larry assumed the position in the District Office as Assistant Superintendent. In 2002, he was elected as District Superintendent.
During her time in Joliet, Coleen served for a few years as Director of Women's Ministries, with multiple groups meeting. As a child, she had the opportunity to attend a lot of Women's Missionary Council meetings and helped with many of the projects. Coleen's heart is for missions and to help teach Women's Ministry Leaders the importance of ministering to and supporting our missionaries as they serve the Lord on the field. The Griswolds are parents of two adult children, Todd (Kristi) and Terri, who is currently serving as a missionary. They have three grandchildren. |
