Media is the modern-day parable. Jesus used parables to help communicate in simple language, a bigger message.
Media is a form of communication for the sight and sound generation in which we live.
Have you ever seen kids playing on the computer with the TV on and headphones plugged into one ear?
People are used to receiving multiple message at the same time, and anything less can be boring without creativity.
The result is a challenge for churches to capture a person’s attention when he or she sits in a pew. Whether we like it or not, listeners can be lost in la-la land if all they see is someone behind a pulpit for 45 minutes. It’s a difficult task.
Media is an accent. Media is an item that helps deliver the message. And contrary to what some believe, media is not the message. Nor is it the magic element to make ministry successful.
