Church Planting

In today's world, there are many different looks to a new church. Some church plants start large, and others are small. Some plants are very broad in their ministry and appeal, while others are very targeted in who they intend to minister to.

The truth is that there is no wrong church style or size when we're doing what God has called us to do.  We just need to be obedient to the call, and let God do the rest.

Here in Illinois, our church plants fall into 3 distinct categories.

Parent Affiliated Churches (PAC)

PAC churches are started with a parent church as their covering. This covering can include financial management, support or oversight, pastoral placement or a video venue, provision of facilities, or a church within a church. All of these options depend on the call and vision of the parent church and the planting pastor.

Personal Initiatives

These churches are started by individuals with a call to a specific area and are independent of a parent church. Their ministry is a reflection of the DNA of the church planter. They are accountable to the Illinois District.

District Initiatives

These churches are planted in strategic areas in the state where the Illinois District feels the need for new and thriving ministries. These churches will be assigned to one of the different church networks in their geographic area for coaching and mentoring.

In all of these cases, the Illinois District has many resources to help the new church start and flourish. Resources that range from church networks and coaching, to financial matching funds and equipment. We are ready and willing to do whatever we can to help you and your vision come to fulfillment!
