The ABC’s of Salvation
Knowing your sins are forgiven and you are ready for heaven is as simple as following these steps:
|Admit you have sinned.|
"If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth." (I John 1:8).
Believe in the Savior.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16).
Confess and forsake your sin.
"But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong." (I John 1:9).
The Roman's Road to Salvation is a collection of Bible verses from the book of Roman's used to explain the gospel of Salvation.
|Romans 3:23 |
For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 10:9, 10
For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
Ephesians 2:8, 9
God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
John 3:16, 17
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends.
I John 1:9
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
If anyone acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will openly acknowledge that person before my Father in heaven.
So God has given us both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can take new courage, for we can hold on to his promise with confidence.
I John 5:13
I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.
