Ministry Opportunities

Overview of responsibilities:

• Worship Arts

o Create an effective Worship Arts Ministry at Peoria First

 Lead Worship Arts Ministry
• Work with and assess existing team members
• Add/recruit vocalists and instrumentalists
• Mentor Worship Arts team members (weekly or monthly basis with direct personal interaction)
• Select songs that support service themes
• Introduce new songs to team members and congregation
• Conduct practices (weekly)
• Attend weekly production meetings.
• Produce team schedules bimonthly
• Help with prepping Encounter worship nights with music, interactive prayer stations, etc.
• Propose, plan and execute Christmas Eve services annually. This includes, but is not limited to: proposing themes by mid-October, working with décor team, recruiting team & planning service elements (music, drama, dance, candles, etc.)
• Assist with Children’s Christmas Production.
• Lead Worship for all services, Sundays and midweek.
• Collaborate with Tech team on all services.
• Find qualified person to lead in your absence.

 Fulfill leadership team functions
• Live out a Biblically Based Lifestyle such as Daily Devotions, Adding Value to others, welcoming accountability and living an unselfish life.
• Familiarize with and live out Peoria First Core Values.
• Follow guidelines in staff handbook.
• Attend staff prayer & meetings as scheduled. (Not weekly)
• Share staff devotions upon request.
• Develop service formats for seasonal productions/events.
• Work with the tech team to ensure
• Attend and Participate in Church Outreach such as: Light the Night, Celebration Sundays, Grill & Chill, Serve Days, Comedy & Cupcakes, etc.

 Dream annually
• Plan events that will create community and contribute to growth in the Worship Arts team
• Focus on seasonal events…can be outreach, community, etc… in emphasis
• Recruit people and resources
