Ministry Opportunities

Maranatha Assembly of God is accepting resumes for their lead pastor position. The church is on the west side of McHenry and surrounded by growing subdivisions. There has been one lead pastor for the last 29 years. The current morning worship attendance is 38. Sunday service is held at 10AM with fellowship and coffee before service and midweek prayer every Wednesday evening at 7pm. There are small groups and activities throughout the week.
The church has been growing over the past year; with baptisms, fellowship events, and re-building ministry teams. The congregation is friendly, loving and dedicated with a mission to ￢ﾀﾜKnow Jesus and Make Him Known￢ﾀﾝ. They are seeking to grow ministry teams and community outreach.
The church is in good financial shape and is currently updating the building with new paint, carpet, and technology. The church is on 8 beautiful acres that is used for events, outside worship, and activities. Church staff is currently comprised of the full time Lead Pastor position, part time office administrator, part time worship leader, and part time church cleaner. Church leadership includes 4 deacons and other ministry team heads.
McHenry is a suburb, part of the Chicago metropolitan area with a population of 28,117. The city has two school districts, many parks and opportunities for outdoor activities and community events. Maranatha Assembly of God is part of the McHenry Chamber of Commerce.
