Youth Pastor

Youth/Worship Pastor Search
Reports to: Senior Pastor
This is a Part-Time position with expectations of roughly 10-15 Hours/week. Hours may vary to facilitate special events and services.
Youth Responsibilities:
-Teach Sunday morning Youth class.
-Organize Monthly Youth gatherings.
-Plan and attend District Youth events such as camp and convention.
-Develop Youth leadership team
Worship Responsibilities:
-Develop a worship set in Planning Center each week for Sunday services.
-Schedule people for worship team and sound/media team for Sunday services.
-Evaluate new music and introduce to the church body.
-Lead vocal and band rehearsals for Sunday services.
-Recruit and develop musicians and vocalists.
-Plan and execute special musical events/services.
-Proficient in leading from guitar or keys.
-Able to troubleshoot sound, projection, light, and video issues as needed.
-Additionally:
o We recently purchased a Behringer X32 soundboard and use digital in-ear mixing for the worship team.
o We use ProPresenter software for lyric and sermon projection.
o We currently use tracks from Loop Community and click tracks as part of our Sunday morning worship.
Other Responsibilities:
-Develop a vision and give direction for the Youth and Worship ministries, in alignment with SWCC values of Seeking God, Sharing Life, and Serving Others.
-Research and implement curriculum for Youth and Kids departments
-Oversee the scheduling of volunteers for Kids/Nursery
-Opportunity to help with preaching series on Sunday mornings throughout the year
Southwest Community Church is a portable church that meets in Trinity Christian School is Shorewood, IL. Currently we are only meeting on Sunday mornings. During the service, the Youth are with the adults for worship and then are dismissed to go to a classroom for a time of teaching/discussion. We are using RightNow Media for teachings for the Youth curriculum and Orange curriculum for the Kids ministry. The last Sunday of each month, the Youth remain in service with their parents for Family Communion.
