Ministry Opportunities

The Journey Church is adding to our team! We are looking to add a Youth Pastor to our staff who will primarily disciple and work with students but also jump onto the pastoral team to advance the mission of The Journey as a whole.

The Journey Church is a growing church in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago. God is doing great things as we have seen growth in every area of the church, including new guests almost every single week this year. The New Lenox area is a thriving town with 30% of the population under the age of 19 and two major high schools with enrollment around 2,000 students each.

Our Youth Pastor will provide leadership over Journey Youth Ministry and create a program that helps our students discover truth, demonstrate compassion, and develop relationships. He/She will lead all youth leaders and students to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall operations of Journey Youth.

We are looking for someone who will: understand and communicate the culture of Journey Church; be an active partner within the church; maintain strong leadership, teamwork, and networking skills; provide quality communication to the students, parents, Journey Youth leaders, and Journey staff; be a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
