Ministry Opportunities
Family Pastor
Maranatha is entering into a new season, building, and preparing for what God is doing. We
believe it is vital to find a “NextGen Pastor” passionate about reaching the lost & building teams.
This role is being sought out after much vision, prayer, and a growing need. Although a church our
size (~50) wouldn’t normally look to hire a full-time NextGen Pastor, we see God moving in a
powerful way, bringing in new families and expanding our reach in the community. Not only are
we going to hire a NextGen pastor, but we will also build an Equipping & Training Center,
renovate our kids ministry area, & create a youth ministry area within the next 2 years.
If you want to grow while reaching a community in desperate need for powerful, dynamic, and
effective ministries to Kids & Youth this is the opportunity for you.
In January, Pastor Cam, Katie and their son Casen moved up to Illinois as they felt the call of God
to pastor this amazing church. Since then, God has given signs, vision and confirmation of what is
to come. For the past 30 years at Maranatha the mission has been, and will continue to be, to
“Know Jesus & Make Him Known.” What is changing is our vision, strategy and values.
Vision: Develop, raise, & send disciples who proclaim Jesus everywhere to everyone.
Strategy: Reproductive Discipleship | Disciples who make disciples who make disciples.
Values: His Word. His Love. His Abundance.
The vision and strategy are born out of two key passages: Luke 10 & 2 Timothy 2:2. By focusing
on Reproductive Discipleship, we will develop, raise and send 70 Discipleship Groups in our
community, 70 disciples trained for full-time ministry, 70 disciple-making churches planted. These
disciples will proclaim His Word, because it changes, shapes, directs, inspires, and transforms us
as it reveals Jesus through every page. They will proclaim His Love because it is has changed all
humanity and set the new standard for living. They will proclaim His Abundance through prayer,
generosity, and boldness because He supplies everything we need through His grace which He
has lavished upon us.
