Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Youth Pastor to join our church family in Lemont, IL. As the Youth Pastor, you will play a vital role in nurturing and guiding the spiritual growth of our youth, leading a team effort to foster a strong, missions-focused, and active post-church family atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a heart for youth ministry, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively with our church community.

Responsibilities:
– Lead and oversee the youth ministry, focusing on students in jr high and highschool, with plans to expand the program.
– Create and implement engaging and relevant youth-oriented programs, events, and activities that align with our church’s mission and values.
– Cultivate a positive and welcoming atmosphere for youth, encouraging their spiritual growth and personal development.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with youth and their families, providing guidance, support, and counseling when needed.
– Collaborate with other church staff and leaders to integrate youth ministry into the overall church community and vision.
– Foster a missions-focused approach by organizing local and global outreach opportunities for youth to serve others.
– Participate in church-wide events and initiatives, promoting teamwork and unity within the congregation.
– Be an active presence at church services, youth gatherings, and events to build connections with the youth and the broader church family.
– Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to personal spiritual growth and ongoing learning.

Qualifications:
– A deep and authentic personal faith in Jesus Christ.
– Experience in youth ministry, preferably in a leadership role.
– Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire young people.
– A team player who values collaboration and recognizes that “teamwork makes the dream work.”
– Enthusiasm for working with youth and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives.
– Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate events and activities.
– Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field (preferred but not required).
