Current Role
Rev. Ron Heitman was elected Assistant Superintendent of the Illinois Assemblies of God in June 2017 with a special assignment of church planting in the urban, inner city and suburbs of Chicago. Previously, he had served as Executive Presbyter of the Chicago Region and as Presbyter of the Chicago West Section.

Vision
To lead from a position of strength as a pastor and come beside other pastors and churches by resourcing them to become multipliers through planting churches.
Background
Ron has served as pastor of Evangel Assembly of God in Hanover Park since 2004 where he earlier began in youth ministry after graduating from college in 1986. Following his local church youth ministry years, he served the Illinois District as District Youth Director for 12 years from 1992-2004. In his current season of pastoring, Ron has established a network of ethnic parent-affiliated churches (PAC) including Evangel Indian Church, Espanol Evangel Church and Evangel Mongolian Church.
Ron and his wife Tamra reside in Bartlett, Illinois, and have two daughters in college, Makenna and Matison.
